Who art thou? Thou art an earthly king.
But before God thou art but crowned dust.
Now tremble
On wings of glowing fire, 'midst a dark cloud,
High in the air I see the fierce angel of death!
The trumpet louder sounds; it calls me there.
To me my sword alone suffices.
Begone, leave me, obey!
Art thou, Oh, God! inexorable still, or is
The burning vengeance of thy wrath appeas'd?
I see their burning torches glare, and flash
Thou shalt find me as a king should be found - yes -
Dead.

AGUIRRE IV

The earth I walk upon
Shall see me and quake
Drop down dead at will
Trampled on ‘til no remains
I am the great traitor
Greater than treason itself
I am the wrath of god
Fall in these hands of Fate
Whoever follows me
A conquest of idleness
Untold riches he’ll win
Deceived heart lost in darkness
Every man had to cast down their gaze before me
And no one dared look me in the eyes
Once I was a prince
Now I’m in chains
Shackled in disgrace
Have to face my Fate.

The Angel dreamt that night the Beast
Which like a fountain with a hundred spouts
Did run pure blood and lusty sinners in feast
Came smiling and did bathe their hands in it
And them denying their heinous crime
Glaring at our rotten earth, dark moldy grime
So rich in life, virtue and demise
Doesn’t your decay make virtue re-rise?
The Beast that shouted "LOve" at the heart of the world,
The Fate of destruction is also the joy of rebirth.
The end, that is to say what necessarily comes after inception.
Will our desires be guided to destruction?
Will our hopes become our very own death?
